Summer 2012

So this summer has been crazy busy. I'm not going to bore you with all the details of every story but in short: Macey turned one in May! It's amazing how time goes by so fast. We had a little party with some friends and I made a sorry attempt at a cake. I'm blaming it on my lack of supplies. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!) Mac's parents came up in July for 2 weeks. It was a lot of fun having them here and made me even more home sick than I already am! Macey loved spending time with them and getting to know them better. She wasn't quite sure what to do when they left and she didn't have anyone to show off for anymore. After Mac's parents left he was busy playing guide and taking some family of our friends out fishing. The last of our excitement was a few weeks ago when my parents and grandparents came to visit. Once again Macey loved having someone to show off too, but it took her a little while to warm up because she was trying to get over a cold, but it didn't keep her down too long. So, now for some pictures. I'll try not to overwhelm you. =-)

See, my poor excuse for a cake... =-(

She kept trying to run off the slide

 Grandpa & Grandma Anderson's visit:

Hiking up to go fishing. Didn't get up to the top because we ran into some people that had been up to the fishing hole and said there wasn't any fish. So, they saved us another mile of hiking.

Throwing rocks in the water.

Black bear on the the way home from our hike.

Beautiful day on the boat. Unfortunately, no fish that day!

Tim caught the biggest fish, 120lbs.

Grandpa taught Macey how to give knuckles.

Catch of the day

Grandpa (dad's dad) had to fight a sea-lion for this fish. As you can see from the missing stomach. It was pretty incredible to watch and took us over 30 minutes to finally tire the sea lion out!

Dad's lunker!

At the dock after a nice day of fishing.

Grandma and Grandpa Tubbs' visit:

So, this was me trying not to overwhelm you with pictures. I'm not sure how successful I was! But it may be a while before I post again. Hopefully I'll post sooner rather than later!
